Guess which Hong Kong’s superstar will be at the Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race?

Not a stranger to the circuit, Hong Kong’s superstar Aaron Kwok is in Malaysia and fans will have an opportunity to catch their idol in action at Sepang International Circuit (SIC) as the inaugural Audi R8 LMS Cup Asia Series stages its fourth round this weekend in Malaysia.

Organised as one of the support race for the 14th edition of the Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race (MMER), the Audi R8 LMS Cup, which is a one-make series featuring the Audi R8 LMS GT3 race cars, would also boast many other prominent names including Malaysia’s former Formula 1 driver Alex Yoong and other top drivers in the region with the likes of Marchy Lee, Franky Cheng Confu, Adderly Fong and top German driver, Rahel Frey.

Currently 10th in the overall standings, Aaron, who is known to be a highly gifted racing driver on top of his supreme singing and acting talents, is seventh in the Am Cup with 40 points after three round and six races. Previously, he was the leader of the overall standings with 105 points, holding a 14-point advantage over Marchy Lee. Alex is third with 89 point. Driving car No. #88 and driving for Team Audi Hong Kong Team, Aaron would be in action in Sepang as early as Thursday, 29 August 2013 during the official free practice. Qualifying for the Audi R8 LMS Cup would be held at 8.15am on Friday with the first race scheduled at two hours later on the same day. Race 2 has been slotted for Saturday at 11.20am.

Apart from the Audi R8 LMS Cup, the MMER – an iconic 12-hour endurance race and hailed as one of the biggest race in Asia, would also feature the Asia Classic Car Challenge, the Ferrari Challenge and the new single-seater Asia Cup as its support races. Fans can catch all the actions from the 2013 Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race for free at the Main Grandstand. SIC has also lined up a host of exciting off-track activities at the spectators’ areas for fans to enjoy the event with their friends and family members.
