Despite Islamic protests, the opening ceremony of Miss World 2013 was still held in spectacular fashion in the majority Hindu resort Island of Bali.
Beauty queens from all over the world took the stage in traditional costumes by Nusantara and performed the Balinese traditional dance. The contestants were also then dressed in beautiful evening gowns during the introduction round.
